Presentation on the Orthodox Mission at Tabor Camps

On Sunday, August 23, Mr. Charalambos Metallidis, President of the Orthodox Missionary Fraternity, visited the men’s camp “Tabor” in Elani, Chalkidiki, upon the invitation of Elder Niphon, head of the “Saint Xeni” Fraternity.

During his visit, Mr. Metallidis spoke to the campers and staff about the history of the Orthodox Mission and, in particular, about the spiritual founder of the Fraternity, Saint Chrysostomos Papasarantopoulos.

The camp leader, Mr. Tsamoglou, Elder Niphon, and the campers listened to the speech with evident enthusiasm, subsequently posing insightful questions.

It is worth noting that the “Saint Xeni” Fraternity maintains a long tradition of significant missionary work in the farthest corners of the earth, which began with the late Elder Gervasios, who even reached the Fiji Islands, and continues with undiminished zeal and intense activity under the spiritual guidance of Elder Niphon.

We express our warm thanks for the honorable invitation and the Abrahamic hospitality.
