The preaching of Christ is not merely words, but transforms into deeds. In every country where Orthodox missionaries serve, their primary concern is to preach the Gospel of Christ. But charity is not alien to this endeavor. It is the very way the Gospel is embodied. The concern for the human soul and the care for the body, that hungers, that falls ill, that lacks education, spring from the very same source: the love of God. This is why the work of the Orthodox Missionary Fraternity has always been based on three pillars: Spiritual life – Infrastructure – Charity.

At the heart of our work lies the spiritual life of each newly established Orthodox community. We fund the construction of Holy Churches where the first Christians do not yet have a place to gather, we support Baptisms that bring new souls into the Church, and we translate texts and publications from Greek into local languages.

At the same time, we support the infrastructure that makes life sustainable in difficult places. We dig wells where drinking water is scarce, build clinics and multi-specialty medical centers in areas without organized healthcare, and construct schools where education is the only way out of poverty for the new generation.

Alongside all this, we care for the most vulnerable. We support orphanages that provide orphaned children with shelter, food and care, we organize soup kitchens for families who have nothing to eat and arrange humanitarian aid missions, sending containers with food, clothing, medicine and essential supplies wherever needed.
