The Fraternity’s container arrived in Ghana
With great joy and emotion, His Eminence Metropolitan Daniel of Accra received the 20-ton container, which was offered as a donation by the compassionate Greek people through the Orthodox Missionary Fraternity. The Fraternity fully covered the shipping costs and ensured the safe transport of the valuable cargo to Ghana.
From the early morning hours, young people and associates of the Holy Metropolis of Accra worked with willingness and enthusiasm, contributing to the unloading of the container and the transfer of all items to the warehouses of the Holy Cathedral of the Transfiguration of Christ in Accra.
The items included in the container – ecclesiastical supplies, food, clothing, educational and medical-pharmaceutical material, and other essential goods – will be distributed exclusively to the Orthodox Communities in Ghana, to support the thousands of faithful who face daily hardships. Through this offering, the Orthodox Church continues to be a living agent of love, hope, and solidarity towards our fellow human beings.
The Holy Metropolis of Accra and our grateful Ghanaian brethren express their heartfelt and deepest gratitude to the Orthodox Missionary Fraternity of Thessaloniki, its valuable associates, and all donors who contributed with love and selflessness to this great act of Christian charity.
