A Holy Temple in Madagascar was dedicated to Saint Chrysostomos Papasarantopoulos!

The Orthodox Missionary Fraternity was moved to learn about the groundbreaking ceremony for the first Holy Temple dedicated to the holy missionary Fr. Chrysostomos Papasarantopoulos , in the Holy Diocese of Toliara and Southern Madagascar.

The groundbreaking was performed by His Beatitude Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria. The Patriarch informed them of the Patriarchate’s intention to proceed with the canonization of the great founder of Orthodox Missions in sub-Saharan Africa and spiritual founder of our Fraternity. Subsequently, he chanted for the first time the apolytikion of the holy man,

It is worth noting that the construction of this Holy Temple is entirely funded by the Fraternity, which consistently and lovingly continues the missionary work initiated by Fr. Chrysostomos on the African continent.

We express our warm thanks to His Beatitude Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria and Bishop Prodromos of Toliara, for their excellent cooperation and paternal love towards our Fraternity.

See the greeting sent by the Patriarch to our Fraternity:
