Gifts of Love to Congo

Christ is Risen!

The Metropolis of Kinshasa has once again received a gift of love from the Orthodox Missionary Fraternity. On Bright Tuesday, April 22, our Holy Metropolis received another container with valuable goods, necessary for its missionary work.

As our activity expands with the establishment of new parishes in the Kinshasa region, the shipment of ecclesiastical items becomes an urgent necessity for equipping the new churches. Additionally, the Theological School of the area, which remains open with many sacrifices to continue providing theological education to young Congolese and future clergy and associates of the Metropolises, requires tremendous effort to find the necessary resources for its operation.

Thus, the Orthodox Missionary Fraternity once again comes to support the multidimensional work of our Metropolis. We express from the depths of our hearts gratitude to every brother who contributed to this mission, but especially to the Holy Metropolis of Kitros, the Volunteer Ministry for the Homeless of Thessaloniki, the Parish of Saint George of Giannitsa, the Astoria Hotel in Thessaloniki, and the young people from the Filyro warehouse, who arranged for the purchase of a vehicle that will serve our needs and solve the significant issue of missionary transportation.

We thank them all and are deeply grateful for their expression of love and for their willingness to journey with us in the missionary frontlines of the Metropolis.
