A visit that brought a breath of hope to arid Toliara. The Patriarch of Alexandria inaugurated the “Twins of Love” Orphanage, two schools for 1,400 students, performed one hundred baptisms, and laid the cornerstone of the first Church of Saint Chrysostomos Papasarantopoulos!

The Metropolis of Northern Madagascar continues its work with an orphanage for 160 girls, a nursing home, daily breakfast for children, new ordinations of clergy, and the establishment of new parishes that spread the Orthodox faith.

There are journeys that change the way you see the world. Fotis Legakis returned from Madagascar with something that cannot fit into any suitcase: the realization that a well, a notebook, a hug can mean everything to those who have nothing.

In Southern Madagascar, education is not a given. It is not free. It is a difficult path, full of obstacles, which for most children abruptly ends after primary school. That is why the vision for creating a boarding school was born: a vibrant space of hope for the children of the most remote villages.
