Our New Well in Uganda
We are pleased to announce the completion of yet another borehole in the Diocese of Gulu and Northern Uganda, funded by a devout donor of our Fraternity.
It is noteworthy that since 2022, when Bishop Nektarios of Gulu was elected, the Fraternity has funded the construction of six wells in different areas of the diocese. These projects, under the direct supervision and care of His Grace, have been successfully completed, providing clean and potable water to thousands of our fellow human beings.
Trusting in the speed and effectiveness of the Diocese, the Fraternity decided to fund yet another borehole, the seventh in a row, at a cost of 5,000 euros.
Clean water is an inalienable human need, even in the most remote corner of the earth. Especially in Northern Uganda, where thousands of children lack basic necessities, access to potable water is a matter of life and dignity.
With the unwavering support of all of you, donors, members, and friends of the Fraternity, we will continue this God-pleasing work. We will continue to ‘water’ literally and spiritually the souls of our brethren, so that Orthodoxy may bear fruit and God may be revealed to the world, according to the Lord’s command: ‘I was thirsty, and you gave me drink’ (Matthew 25:35).
