Day Trip to Secret Halkidiki
On Saturday, May 9th, the Fraternity will organize a pilgrimage to the Holy Monastery of Saint Kosmas Aitolos in Arnaia.
Departure at 8:00 AM from the Fraternity’s offices (6 Mackenzie King St., Agia Sophia Square)
Program
- Pilgrimage to the Patriarchal and Stavropegic Monastery of Saint Anastasia the Pharmakolytria and morning coffee at the Monastery’s refectory overlooking the Royal Estates
- Next stop at the Holy Metropolitan Church of Saint Stephen in Arnaia
- Guided tour by the responsible Priest of the archaeological site of great historical value within the Holy Church
- Arrival at the Missionary Monastery of Saint Kosmas Aitolos and discussion with the Abbess, Sister Mariam, about the monastery’s history
- Veneration of the miraculous icon of the Virgin Mary in the village of Megali Panagia, Halkidiki
- Return to Arnaia and lunch in the town’s grove
- Departure and return on the afternoon of the same day
