I was in Kananga, Congo, in the land where Saint Chrysostom Papasarantopoulos trod, for the translation of his sacred relics. 66 years after the commencement of his missionary work, 54 years after his repose, the children he loved continue to praise our Lord.

On October 8, 2025, the Holy Synod of the Patriarchate of Alexandria approved the canonization of the blessed Father Chrysostom Papasarantopoulos, the pioneering missionary of Africa. Today, on the first commemoration of his memory, we publish for the first time the report of His Eminence Metropolitan Theodosius of Kinshasa to the Hierarchy of the Patriarchate of Alexandria.
