Building a care nest in Madagascar

The orphanage under construction
The orphanage under construction

Dear Brothers, I inform you that the construction of the Orphanage in the capital Antananarivo is continuing slowly, due to the economic crisis that we are also facing here in Madagascar. The building, as you can see in the photo, is quite large and will take time and money to complete. Work is a little over halfway through; almost 60% of the work is covered. The difficulties are many, in terms of finding the money, because, as you know, our mission income has been greatly reduced and the work is being carried out with difficulty. A further 200,000 euros are needed to complete and operate the ground and first floors of the project. We are postponing the remaining floors to a more suitable time. I would like to thank you, but I would also like to ask you to support the project financially, in case a donor is found who could offer a significant amount of money so that the project can be completed. The donation sent to us by an anonymous benefactor from Thessaloniki through your Brotherhood has already been used to build a wing, which will be named after her husband. We hope that with God’s grace we will soon be able to open our orphanage to house more than 200 orphans and abandoned infants, who have now grown up and require their own space. With the love of Christ,
† Madagascar Ignatius
