My dear brothers and children in Christ, partners of the Missionary Ministry of the Holy Diocese of Malawi,
Hail in the Lord.
With much Love and appreciation, I would first of all, on the completion of sixty years since the foundation of your Fraternity, I would like to express my humble High Priestly wishes, as the Lord and God of Mercy and of Mercy blesses continuously and for many years now, Her work.
Secondly, I wish to make known my deep desire to have schools in parishes where there is some building infrastructure.
I make it known to you that in about ten built Churches, apart from the Chaplain’s residence, there are annexes, in some more and in others less, which in our humble opinion, are suitable for the operation of small schools.
As you know, the future of the Church here in Malawi is in the young children who need education as a tool, not only for life but much more for life.
Many children, due to poverty, do not have the opportunity to learn letters.
Our local Church, as a loving mother, wants to help her children to learn not only the things of worldly wisdom but also the things of God.
A few weeks ago, I visited the Parish of St. Anastasia, where with your help we drilled a borehole, for which we thank you again.
In this Parish there are two small rooms, which we have prepared to function for the time being as two primary school classrooms.
However, according to the law of the country, in order for the school to operate legally, it needs at least two more classrooms, a teacher’s office and a classroom for teachers.
They do not have to be of large dimensions but for their construction we need a sum of money of about twenty thousand euros.
We will be very grateful to those who take on this responsibility, by the grace of God.
We wish and pray to the Holy God of Mercy and of Mercy, that He may inspire hearts that are well-disposed to “do good works” for His glory and that of His Church “which is made whole in His own Blood”.
My dear brothers and sisters, as in a few days the curtain of the Christmas fast will open and we will hear in the Churches “Christ is born, you have glorified, Christ is answered from Heaven, Christ is exalted on earth”, let us hasten to imitate in our lives the One who loved us, through acts of Love.
Wishing for all of you, as the grace and mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ keeps your existence blameless, I embrace you in holy peace.
