The first meeting of the Orthodox Foreign Missionary Brotherhood for 2023 took place on Sunday 8 January. After the customary congregation meeting, the cutting of the annual cake and a musical program by the melodic voices of the students of Christian Hope followed.

The guest speaker was Bishop Timothy of Assos, Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Mexico for Colombia and Venezuela. His Eminence narrated the course of the Orthodox Church in Latin America and took us vividly through his missionary journeys in these two American countries.

Present were 8 young Orthodox from Colombia, who spoke with enthusiasm for the Orthodox faith and with gratitude to the Greeks who, as they said, shine as a beacon and spread the light of Christ in the darkness of the world.

The presence of the Theophilos and the young Colombians filled us with hope for the future of the true faith in the American continent and especially in the Metropolis of Mexico, which currently has about 400,000 faithful.
