Dear friends of the Mission, For the holy days of Christmas and the new year, we wish you every blessing from God. May the Lord bless the work of the latter Association, so that you may continue the divine ministry of supporting our suffering brethren in Africa and elsewhere. For the generous offer of 6,850 € for educational adoptions and baptisms, which you made available to our Holy Metropolis for the year 2016, we again express our sincere thanks. We assure you that this spiritual “investment” for the education of the African youth of our Metropolis, which you give them the opportunity to continue their studies, has borne fruit, educated children.
But also the baptisms of our African brothers and sisters with your assistance are succeeding in being carried out without a hitch. First of all, the catechisms are performed, and then the first and introductory Sacrament of Baptism is administered to our Holy Church, they are “naturalized” into her and called “Orthodox Christians”, which is the highest and most honorable title for us. For this we thank those who, in spite of the economic crisis we are going through, generously and in spite of the economic crisis, have made available from their savings for charity and social solidarity.
