Resurrection of faith in the Tonga Islands
Hello! (Matthew 28:1) This was the first word of the Risen Christ to the women of the Cross. The joyful message to aching humanity. The message then addressed by the Holy Apostles to the faithful of every age. “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in everything” (2 Thess. 5:16-18). The sin under which mankind lived before the coming of Christ causes sorrow. Eternal joy and gladness is given by faith in Christ and His resurrection. Universal and universal is the preaching of the Gospel. Salvation through holy baptism in the “One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church”, the Orthodox and orthodox Church, which stands for the word of truth, is universal.
Our wholehearted gratitude and thanksgiving to our Risen Savior Lord Jesus Christ for His divine command to “make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matt. 28:19). He has graced us with the inauguration of the Holy Trinity Cathedral and the Orthodox Orphanage of St. Tabitha in Fiji. And now we are already in the other territory of the Tonga Islands, preparing for the foundation of the first Holy Church of St. George the Great Martyr of the Trophy Bearer.
Only a few months after the first visit of an Orthodox missionary to this isolated island country of the Pacific Ocean, the few Orthodox believers welcomed us again with much love and praise to the Lord for the new Holy Church that His love has given them. We secured ownership of the land, signed an agreement with the contractor and laid the cornerstone for the most remote church on this earth.
May the Lord bless and strengthen all Orthodox Missionaries who struggle with many difficulties and privations in all latitudes and longitudes of the earth.
To bless and sanctify all the subscribers and consecrators, who with their savings many times support the Missionaries and the works of their hands and comfort the indigenous believers and catechumens and every fellow human being in their poverty and suffering. Lord Jesus Christ, the light of the world, enlighten with the light of your Resurrection the people of our planet. Deliver them from the darkness of idolatry and error, greed, injustice and hatred. Peace, Lord, in Your world and bring Your Kingdom, a Kingdom of holiness, love, justice, peace and joy, into the hearts of all people. Christ is risen!
