Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, A few months ago, the Society kindly offered us the sum of 3,000 to supplement the amount needed for the installation of the antenna of our radio station “The Voice of Orthodoxy” in Kolwezi. The placement was something necessary and needed in order for the station to be able to operate without interruption on a daily basis.
We would like to inform you that the relevant works have been completed and the station has already started to operate normally, from 6 to 9 am and from 5 to 9 pm daily, within a radius of 60 km.
Our faithful Christians call us with a sense of comfort and inform us that our signal and our Orthodox broadcasts can be heard in their part of the world. The listening of the program is not only done by the Orthodox, but also by the heterodox and the broadcasts have a catechetical character. We try to explain the principles and doctrines of our holy faith in simple and understandable words. The operation of a radio station is a great strength in our missionary work, as the current Metropolitan Ignatius of Pentapolis wisely observed and urged us to create it.
