Dear brothers in Greece, we greet you from far away Malawi and we embrace you in the Lord! The news of our missionary effort, here in the heart of Africa, is that, by the grace of God and through various difficulties, trials, hardships and hardships, we are holding on and continue to fight, even for a soul! We are struggling to keep the candle of Orthodox light burning in Malawi!
We remind your love that our Mission has in the heart of the city of Blantyre, the capital of Malawi, where we live, a very rare plot of land, purchased with many sacrifices and on which His Beatitude Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria and All Africa himself laid the foundation stone in 2011, wishing that a Church would soon be erected in honour of the Nativity of Christ. So much time has passed and the icon of the Nativity, buried down there in the foundation, patiently and quietly waits for a donor to be found to build the Church. We dare not ask one donor to bear the burden of the entire project. But we dare to ask all of you to give us at least a sum of money to at least begin the building of the Church. Let the beginning be made, and then, brick by brick, cement by cement, God will give a little by little to build His Church… It is a spiritual law that, one if we give to God, He pays us a hundred in His own time, and promotes and merits us to be His precious co-workers! Thank you all for supporting the Mission in Malawi in every way you can. May God bless you and your families forever. Please, brethren, assist in our noble desire in whatever way each of you can. May we all deserve to see the beginning of the construction of the Church of the Nativity of our Christ in the heart of Africa soon. With the love of Christ,
π. Hermolaus from Malawi
