Dear brothers and partners,
Rejoice in the Lord always.
For the past two weeks I have been close to you mentally, and I am sure so have you through your supportive prayers. Our recently established Diocese has no revenues of its own that safeguard its operation. Being exclusively dependent on our devout Greek donors, it experiences the economic crisis many times as large.
However, it has never occurred to me to leave the priests unpaid, or cut off the operation of our radio station, or fire the school teachers or the orphanage staff. I believe that God shall not abandon us and neither shall we our flock.
Our poor brothers of Impfondo are expecting both you and me to continue our missionary work there by conducting holy services, catechizing, baptizing, helping spiritually and materially those accepting your love along with the Grace of God, and your gifts as gifts of Paradise.
I am asking you from the bottom of my heart to help me visit and encourage this parish, which you have sponsored, because I cannot afford even the fares there.
Living among our poor brothers, we, poor ourselves, share this “nothing” and keep on living thanking God even for His smallest donations, enjoying your love, even if it reaches us in the form of sincere promises, which offer us hope.
Will I become tiring if I ask you to help us with your little financial support for Impfondo, so that I will be able to send you photographs of your loving Pygmies as soon as I get there?
Always wishing you the Lord’s blessing and your partners’ actual support in your life.
With love in Christ
