Our physical integrity was repeatedly endangered by the existing outdated car. At least three times we were protected by Divine Providence from a certain accident
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, I have the honor to ask you to accept, through me at least, the grateful thanks of His Eminence, Metropolitan Demetrios, for the five thousand euros you have given for the completion of the “St. Marcos” Primary School in Igogo Iriga. However, appealing to the merciful feelings of your loving missionary efforts, I would like to ask you to help our very responsible work in the Iriga region of the Metropolis of Irinople by offering an additional five thousand euros to equip the school so that it can be open from January, when the new school year begins. Allow me at this point to make you aware of another very great need, for which my Lordship begs you. You have decided, brethren, to finance the purchase of a car suitable for the conditions of Iriga, because I must move safely and regularly there and visit the fifty or so parishes of the Iriga area, ministering, keeping and offering, with the associates, a soup kitchen to our poor native brethren. Furthermore, I must inform you that our physical integrity was repeatedly endangered by the existing outdated car. At least three times we were protected by Divine Providence from a certain accident. Recently, after the adventure of my illness, the need for a safe car became more urgent. Already found a car, the cost of which amounts to the sum of ten thousand euros.
Thanks, in advance, for your positive response I transmit the grateful thanks and wishes of His Eminence our Metropolitan Demetrios.
