The Orphanages of Calcutta

The humanitarian work of the Orthodox Charitable Fellowship of India is extremely rich. Our Brotherhood always tries to stand by the Community’s tireless efforts. Last year, the reconstruction of a new Boys’ Orphanage was completed with a co-financing of 100,000 Euros from our Brotherhood. This Orphanage together with the Girls’ Orphanage houses 150 poor orphans, who were gathered from the streets of Kolkata (Calcutta). The orphanage provides them with shelter, food, clothing, education, protection from exploitation and most importantly the right to dream of their future with optimism.

Please do not forget the orphans of Calcutta, but offer your love for their support. Without your help, the orphanages will close and 150 children will be at risk of returning to the streets. The needs are immediate and pressing. We hope for your love.
