Thanks from the Lagos
Dear brothers. Having returned to my headquarters after my recent visit to Greece, I feel the need to contact you to express my heartfelt thanks for the warm welcome you received for the first time at the offices of the Brotherhood on Monday, May 11, 2009. The work of the Fraternity was known to me both from the pages of your magazine and from the reports of His Beatitude and other brother Bishops. What I personally found, however, was the correct, at least in my opinion, approach to aspects of missionary work and the presentation of realistic thoughts and proposals for fundamental work, for long-term and sustainable options. I am grateful for your expressed willingness to support the establishment of a Missionary Centre in Awo-Idemili, Imo State, located in Eastern Nigeria. I am grateful for your decision to extend to our Metropolis the “Adoption” programme, which you have already started in other ecclesiastical provinces of the Throne. May the Lord support your efforts and struggles, grant you health and longevity and fulfill your every expectation.
With thanks and special honor
Metropolitan Alexander of Nigeria
Small comment: Already through a donor and partner of our fraternity we have undertaken the construction of a sanctuary in Imo Province of Eastern Nigeria in the name of St. Christopher. We hope the project will go well and that the planned missionary centre will be completed.
