The Orthodox Mission in Ghana (video)

The Rev. Metropolitan Daniel of Accra attended the meeting of the Orthodox Foreign Missionary Brotherhood on Sunday, December 8, 2024 and presented the work carried out in this province of the Patriarchate of Alexandria.

He explained how the natives of Ghana discovered Orthodoxy through a book and described the religious situation there today.

He referred to the efforts made in favour of the Orthodox witness and the great interest of Ghanaians to convert to the Orthodox faith and return to the Church.

He informed about the establishment of the new seminary for catechists that will start in Accra in January, about the operation of camps, about the way of preaching in the parishes of Ghana, as well as about his episcopal tours in all the ecclesial communities of the large country.

Finally, he described the great poverty of the Orthodox priests and thanked the Brotherhood, which is, as he said, one of the few financial supporters in this struggle.
