School visit to our Fraternity’s African Art Exhibition

On Friday 21 February 2025 we had the great pleasure to host students of the 1st class of the 7th High School of Kalamaria led by two of their teachers. Our guests were welcomed by the vice-president and the secretary general. They presented them the history and the multifaceted social work of the Orthodox Missionary Fraternity and answered their lively and interesting questions. Afterwards, students and teachers were given a guided tour of the Fraternity’s African Art Exhibition and were given the opportunity to observe musical instruments, coins, weapons, stones, totems, masks and other exhibits of African origin and culture. Finally, they watched a video from the contemporary mission in northern Madagascar, they were offered a small treat and our wonderful guests all left happy.

We sincerely hope that other schools will follow the initiative of these fine teachers, in order to first get to know this great charity work, its impact to people with no discrimination of nationality, gender and religion and to gain a unique experience of the culture of the African continent, as well.
