The“Missionary Library“, the book series of our Brotherhood, has acquired its 82nd title.
Mr. Konstantinos V. Metallidis , a theologian and member of our Brotherhood, wrote a set of 60 biographical texts on known and unknown saints of our Church, who were distinguished for their missionary zeal. These texts are now offered in an elegant volume arranged by calendar, so that we can easily look back and immerse ourselves in the spirit of those who gave themselves for the love of Christ and for the enlightenment of men.
The“Missionary Synaxar“, as the book is titled, is greeted by His Beatitude Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria and All Africa, while His Eminence Metropolitan Nikephoros of Kinshasa introduces the book.
We hope that this publication will inspire other souls to imitate our saints and work missionary for the salvation of the world!

Our Church is a mission and the mission is our Church. There is no Church without mission, it is dead, just as there is no Church without the incarnation of the Word of God. Christ as the only missionary became man to save and raise man to heaven and that is what mission is for, to announce the coming of Christ and to unite man with Christ. Our Christ is the only Lord of the mission. Our Lady is the Lady of the Mission. The Blessed Precursor is the missionary of the announcement of the coming of Christ. Our saints, saints, martyrs, priests, priests, clergy, prophets are missionaries… Every feast in our Church closes within itself the proclamation of God’s love for man, it serves clearly the mission… The missionary takes man by the hand, lifts him up and leads him to Heaven and eternal life. Mission in the Church is everything.
