For who shall give us a cup of water in my name?
that you are Christ’s, amen, I say to you, and do not forfeit his reward.

True is the Word of Christ, my brothers!
And if the offering of one cup counts for so much to our righteous Triune God, count the blessings of the many unsung donors who for the love of Christ have funded twelve (12) whole well drilling operations for the suffering and much-tried people of Malawi.
These thoughts flood us,
as we see the native women carrying on their heads containers full of water from their parish well, and instead of wincing under the weight as they walk to their hut, we see them glowing with joy at the “blessing, the water of God” they are carrying!
And further on we see small African children, barefoot and naked, helping their older brothers and sisters and bringing water to their huts with various containers. They all feel the warm embrace of their Church, which cares for them like a mother…
A blessed and memorable year for so many “households” in Malawi. It was an overwhelming experience to see crowds of children flanking the wells and playing happily with the clean running water.
Dear brothers and sisters – visible and invisible donors, and members of the Orthodox Foreign Missionary Brotherhood, we thank you warmly for supporting this great work for our missionary team.
For a long time we have seen the need for drilling and by the grace of God this year the desire and the unattainable dream of so many of our poor brothers and sisters has become a reality thanks to you.
The priority was that every parish that has been founded should have a well next to the church, so that people can get the earthly good, the precious water, along with the spiritual water that cools their soul.
We thank all of you who cared, and we sincerely hope that the infallible word of our Lord will repay the donors and their loved ones in His heavenly kingdom a hundredfold for every care and support in this valuable work.
