Ordination of two Fitziane priests in Thessaloniki. Come and join us.

The people of Thessaloniki will once again have the blessing of hosting in their city the Metropolitan of New Zealand and Oceania, Elder Amphilochios and two Orthodox Christians from Fiji, former Hindus, who were recently baptized and are about to be ordained priests. The Orthodox Mission in Fiji was started five years ago by the oldest living Orthodox missionary, who has been in the mission field since 1968. With tireless diligence and untiring zeal, the elder has cultivated the souls of the Fijians, which have sprouted and borne fruit. Our Brotherhood from the very first moment has stood by his side. Already many Fijians, both of Polynesian and Indian origin, have been baptized and a priest has been ordained. Because of this spiritual connection that our city has with the Fijian Mission, the new ordinations will take place in Thessaloniki. Come and rejoice with us on Pentecost Sunday, June 12, at the Church of St. Gregory Palamas, where the first ordination will take place, and on Holy Spirit Monday, June 13, at the Church of Saints Constantine and Helen of Hippodrome, where the second will take place.
