The Orthodox Foreign Missionary Brotherhood is a charitable organization. Its operation is governed by the provisions of the Civil Code, Law 1111/1972 and the more specific provisions of its Statutes. The supreme body of the Brotherhood is the General Assembly of the full members, which meets regularly twice a year, elects and supervises the administrative bodies, votes on the budget, the accounts and the balance sheet of each financial year, amends the statutes, approves the acceptance or renunciation of common property and generally decides on any serious matter. Any Orthodox Christian, clergy or layperson, who has reached the age of 18 years, may be registered as a Full Member upon application, co-signed by two members of the Board of Directors.

The Audit Committee
The Law provides for the operation of an independent three-member committee consisting of regular members to audit the sound financial management of charities. The Audit Committee is elected at the same time and for an equal term of office as the Board of Directors, which it audits according to strict criteria, answering directly to the General Assembly. The Audit Committee for the three-year period 2024-2027 consists of the following members:
- President: Catherine Alexandrou, doctor
- George Yiannikis, theologian
- Elias Korkontzilas, lawyer-theologian
According to the law, the Fraternity is audited for its financial management by officials of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, who review the receipts, check its accounting records and data and approve its financial statements. In addition, the Board of Directors has voluntarily chosen to entrust the audit of the financial statements to an independent auditor appointed annually by the General Assembly. This also made it possible for the Fraternity to be registered in the Special Register of the Ministry of the Interior.
